The aim of this project is to enable better allocation of risk management resources. This will be done by automating a scheme for assessing the time suitable for the appearance of fire blight symptoms. The scheme was developed in Evira in 2016, based on the utilization of Maryblyt-model and open weather data derived from the Finnish Meteorological Institute. The results of the project can be used by plant health officials and the whole industry to improve the timing of surveying and communicating of fire blight.
